Why is Hydraulic Down Pressure better than springs of Pneumatic Down Pressure?  A gauge wheel sensor on the row measures how much load each gauge wheel has.  Then the hydraulic cylinder adjusts automatically to keep the correct amount of weight on the gauge wheels.  This in turn keeps the row at the Proper planting depth.  In our typical no-till environment in SE Nebraska, we have seen 4-8 bushel yield gains pretty typical.  This of coarse can vary, so the below is just an estimate of return.
